Truancy

by Ricci Harnett & Siren Turner

Ricci Harnett - Writer and Director

An actor of over 30 years, Ricci has worked with, and learned from, directors such as Danny Boyle (28 Days Later), Paul Greengrass (The Murder of Stephen Lawrence), John Hardwick (33 Times Around the Sun) and more recently, Nick Rowland (Hard Sun) and Lewis Arnold (Stained). He made his debut as writer/director of Rise of the Footsoldier: Part 2 and despite the success of his first feature, Ricci is keen to work outside the British gangster genre.

An actor’s director, he thrives when leading a cast and is as comfortable nurturing new talent as he is when working with seasoned performers.

Siren Turner - Writer

Originally from Leeds, Siren brings an authentic West Yorkshire voice to the project. Having been an actor for many years she turned her attention to playwriting after winning a place on the prestigious MA Writing for Performance course at Goldsmiths. Since graduating she has continued to write for the theatre, being shortlisted for Theatre Centre’s Adrienne Benham award in 2013.

Siren is currently working in radio comedy at Impatient Productions and TRUANCY is her debut screenplay.

Emory Ruegg - Producer

Emory started working in the industry as a performer from the age of ten, appearing in West End shows, theatre and television. After more than a decade as a performer he switched scenes and started working in production.

He co-founded Saloon Films, a Soho based Production Company that went on to make award winning short films, music videos and commercial content. Since Saloon stopped trading Emory has freelanced as a Producer and Executive Producer, working with world-class talent at companies such as Prettybird, RadicalMedia, Iconoclast, Partizan, Somesuch and Sonny London. TRUANCY is his first feature.
